Happy Halloween everyone! This year on the JET program I got to see how people in Japan spend Halloween first hand and it was very surprising!!

My work for the festivities of Halloween was to plan and create events with other JETs in the surrounding towns for the elementary school kids here. We set up many mini games for the kids to play for candy and bigger games for the group to do as a whole. I went around four different towns with my fellow JETs throughout the month of October and entertained the children! Although each town was different the number of kids ranged from 33- 64 students! It was a fun but tiring event that we all put a lot of work into so please check it out!

On the weekend before Halloween, we also got to go celebrate ourselves, dressing up and going to the city. In the big city in our prefecture, there is an annual prefecture wide celebration/ party that many people dress up and go to have fun on Halloween! It was so so fun.

It was a really great experience having been able to see how the kids celebrate and how the adults celebrate Halloween here in my prefecture!
