(2/6) A strong advocate for global warming solutions, Brian fostered Rebecca’s interest in science early on through a series of educational books covering topics like photosynthesis, climate change and the
weather. “Going into kindergarten, we started reading a lot together,” Brian says. “We read a book about photosynthesis and how you need plants to create oxygen and get rid of carbon dioxide. How trees are
important to the environment. She loved that. We would read it over and over and over and over.” Reading books about the melting ice caps and the Amazon led to exploring museums on the weekends and setting up science experiments in the kitchen. From there, Rebecca’s passion
became a family endeavor as they replaced the backyard grass with turf, installed solar panels, and signed up to get rid of bulk mail. When Brian learned about the Mirai, a hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicle, it seemed only natural to make the eco-friendly shift. “Rebecca got super excited
when we told her [about the Mirai]. Anytime we talked about getting a car, she’d say, ‘You’re getting the hydrogen car, right?’” For more info on the #Mirai, check out the link in our bio. #MiraiOwnerStories #Trailblazers #ToyotaMirai #Hydrogen
