Unlike the other global voyage, 96th is a special voyage that cruises around Oceania and the Pacific. Started in Yokohama/Kobe, the cruise made its first stop at the bustling Taiwanese port town, Keelung. The famous and vibrant food scene was definitely one of the most anticipated. The narrow alleys and mesmerizing view of Jioufen Old Street were also some of our favorites!
Then the ship made its way to Cebu, the Philippines. Upon arrival, we were greeted with flower necklaces and passionate locals. The city is full of beautiful colonial architectures and other remnants of its colonial past. Other than sightseeing, shopping for fresh tropical fruits was also on the top of everyone’s list.
Afterwards, we arrived at the renowned resort town, Bali. This Indonesian port has so much to explore that we stayed overnight here. The tranquility of ancient temples, the soothing sound of folk instruments and green paddy fields felt like a cleanse to one’s soul. One thing that we didn’t miss was the sudden torrential rain.
On cruise, there were a wide array of activities and events prepared for you to choose from. In this video, you will see cultural schools, language workshops (Taiwanese, Mandarin, Japanese etc.) and summer festival or Matsuri in Japanese.
