After a nearly a decade, I revisit the vermilion arched bridge over a pond at the park/grounds of Shomyo-ji Temple in Yokohama, Japan. The temple is not well known outside among tourists so the forested temple grounds offer a quiet and relaxing place to enjoy photography (especially during the cherry blossom season). Access is super easy from Tokyo or Yokohama either by train or car. The nearby Marine Park and Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise amusement park/aquarium will entice you to visit the Kanazawa-Hakkei area time and time again.
