Japan
Episode 2: Kyoto
After leaving Okinawa we traveled to Osaka where we boarded the airport limousine (just a bus) to Himeji with the idea of seeing Himeji Castle, which is the biggest and most well preserved castle in Japan. To our misfortune, the doors to the inner castle were already closed when we arrived, but we could still enjoy the view from outside.
Then we finally went to Kyoto which was a dream for me to visit. I loved it, the streets, the people, the food… I found Kyoto strangely familiar for some weird reason and I felt like there is a vibe of peace about it while walking or cycling through its cozy little streets.
While being in Kyoto we visited also Nara, which is a village easily reachable by train from Kyoto and Arashiyama, where I found a lot of excursions from local schools sightseeing in the town which, along with the tourists visiting, gave the town a very lively atmosphere.
