Started this day with a nice trip into Yokohama to spend the morning at church. After seeing shrine after shrine, It was finally good to take time to meditate in the way I know best. l was thankful to meet some friendly faces, in a later episode you’ll see me hit the town with a few of them. Afterwards, I spent the day in the world’s first, 50’s Japanese styled, food-themed amusement park. Probably the first and only time I’ll ever say I’ve stepped foot into an edible theme park. The only thing is that people aren’t lining up for any rides or anything, but they’re lining to get a seat in one of the 9 most popular Ramen joints recreated here in this museum. I only had stomach space for 2 mini bowl portions. I lined up for a place called Ganja that features Tsukemen, which is cold noodles dipped in a hearty, flavorful broth. My other bowl is from Men-no Bo-Toride, which probably had the longest line that day and featured a 20-hour simmering bone broth. Both were just out of this world scrumptious and ruined my taste for ramen anywhere outside of Japan forever. Another random tidbit was a slot-car racing track that ran alongside the gift shop.
