In August 2019 we climbed Japan’s tallest peak, Mt Fuji.
We took the easy path – the Yoshida trail – and thank goodness we did because even that one an immense challenge.
Alf loved it, I was less enthused and drew my strength from whinging like hell about various aches and pains at every given opportunity, as you’ll see. I’m not a natural hiker.
It was an exhilarating, terrifying, unforgettable adventure. I don’t regret a second of it. It pushed me to my limits and we’re both extremely proud of this adventure! Although, I admit the thought of how cold we were at the top still sends shivers down my spine. Take layers. Many, many layers.
