Between August 17-19, 2020, we took a Walt Disney World staycation at Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House. During that stay, we toured the resort lobby, resort grounds, and we even walked over to the nearby Kidani Village, which is the portion of the resort that is exclusively for Disney Vacation Club. We specifically wanted to tour the resort to see how different it feels now that it has been reopened. In Jambo House, there were a lot of amenities closed, like both table service restaurants (Boma and Jiko) plus the gift shop. However, the Uzima Pool at Jambo House was still open and hardly anyone was using the pool! Over at Kidani Village, the lobby seems a bit more crowded than Jambo House, but we did find zebra domes for sale in the gift shop! We really enjoyed getting to soak in Animal Kingdom Lodge after a tumultuous start to 2020.
