We started our cycling trip from our home at Hauraki, Takapuna and visited the strawberry farm at 114 Sunnyside Road, Coastsville which was 23Km away. On our way in the middle we stopped at Kell Park, Albany village for a break. That’s one of my favorite parks in Auckland Northshore area. We really enjoyed tasting and picking yummy strawberries. They are open from 9am to 5pm till February.
Information for cyclists: There are cycle tracks from Takapuna to Albany. After Albany no cycle tracks and you are sharing the road with vehicles going on 80Kmph so take care. However there were not many vehicles after Albany so not a big issue. The route is a mix of uphill and downhill and 1/3 is flat.
