Many famous shrines and temples in Tokyo are located at the edge of Musashino Plateau. Atago Shrine is one of it and is the highest level in Tokyo metropolitan area (23 cities). Atago Shrine is now in the middle of buildings and unable to enjoy its view used be enjoyed. Considering topographic map, this location should be over looking Tokyo Gulf and shitamachi area such as Ginza, Kyobashi, and Nihonbashi widely spread.
Its entrance steps are well known as “Success steps”.
