The Foreign Residents Support Center, or FRESC, opened in near Yotsuya Station in Tokyo’s Shinjuku Ward in July. The FRESC facility is home to representatives from a number of Japanese organizations that deal with issues related to the life of foreigners in Japan, including immigration authorities, those dealing with legal affairs and also those dealing with labor issues.

In this video we take a look in more detail at what the center offers in terms of help and support for foreigners living in Japan as well as the background of Japan’s recent specialist visa system.

FRESC is located in the wonderful Yotsuya neighborhood, an area which our video editor is familiar with so they showed us around this neighborhood of chilled streets, temples and shrines which we reveal in the second part of the video. Enjoy!
