Togoshi Ginza (戸越銀座) is the longest open-air shopping street in Tokyo. Along this 1.3 kilometer long street, you will find a myriad of shops selling everything from street food like deep-fried curry buns or croquets to the latest mobile phones. It’s a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, and is frequently featured on various TV programs as well, particularly shows about food.
To get here, hop on the Tokyu Ikegami line in Gotanda. Despite Togoshi-ginza being located a mere two stops from the bustling central parts of Tokyo, the atmosphere here is more akin of a smaller Japanese town.
