I took a day trip to Gifu to visit Gifu Castle. Gifu is a short train ride away from Nagoya. The base of the hike is around 30 minutes walk from Gifu Station. The hike up to the top takes around 1hr30. It’s not too hard but as I was quite unfit at the time I was sweating a lot LOL.
I would say avoid the Squirrel Village at the top as I found it quite upsetting to see squirrels locked up for peoples entertainment. But maybe because that’s because I live near a large forest and see squirrels in the wild on a daily basis.
Most of the footage I recorded for this was too dark because of an unwanted setting on the camera. I still wanted to put this video out to show what I did in Japan. I hope you enjoy!
