Into The Archive: @raoulalejandre edition. “I was inspired by Sayoko Yamaguchi’s outfit. Being a fan of fashion, I immediately thought to create a custom headpiece for my look. The ribbon detail came from her collar,” says the makeup artist who used SHISEIDO’s 1982 Zen perfume campaign as his jumping off point. “I combined Yamaguchi’s strong smoky eye and bright lip with an extra detail: the Shiseido logo! I really loved the shine on her lips in the original ad and wanted to add that same sheen to my still life. The silky ribbon contrasted beautifully against the clean, matte lines of the ModernMatte Powder Lipstick.”

Products used to get the lip look:
ModernMatte Powder Lipstick in Bubble Era and Cocktail Hour
Shimmer GelGloss in Sumire Magenta
LipLiner InkDuo in Plum and Scarlet
