Whilst living in Japan, whether you are studying abroad or working in Japan, you will most likely have to go to travel to the Tokyo Immigration Office near Shinagawa. This is necessary in order to get your visa for staying in the country. When first coming to Japan, finding this place can be a chore, especially for those that don’t understand Japanese. Also, if you don’t arrive extremely early, it can take longer than the DMV, and be just as annoying and painful.
