Shiogama Shrine
The first temple I visited on day 10 was Shiogama Shrine in Shiogama, Miyagi. A bunch of stairs led to a nicely sized shrine at the top of a hill. Shiogama Shrine has some anchors and is related to safe travels in the ocean!
I got there quite early so I had to wait for my signature. The buildings are pretty newly painted and the shrine has plenty to see including an old building with vending machines to take a rest inside! Enjoy your walk!
