Today on our Cycling in Japan series, my wife and I will be ridding the Chita Peninsula loop, which is one of the more popular rides in Aichi prefecture. We’re riding our road bikes, but are also joined by another cyclist on their bikepacking bike. In total we ended up with 160km for today’s ride, going all the way down to Minami Chita city and back to Nagoya.
We also had a nice surprise during the ride, coming across the giant Tokonyan cat statue in Chita city.
All in all, it was another great ride. The weather was extremely hot and humid, and the giant hills on the way home were tough, but it made the food reward at the end taste even better 🙂
