Glover Garden was built for Thomas Blake Glover in 1863. Glover was a Scottish merchant that helped modernize Japans coal and shipbuilding industries during the Meiji period.

Overlooking the harbor, Glover Gardens is a must stop for anyone traveling to Nagasaki.
