Japanese sake brewery open days are a fantastic way to spend late-winter to spring weekends; enjoying the season’s fresh sake, eating classic Japanese food, and enjoying the outdoors.
This is my second time to Umegaeshuzo Brewery, and it is still a wonderful experience. It happens to be one of the earlier open days in the year calendar. At this particular brewery you can enjoy free ‘taruzake’, sake poured straight from the barrel. If you are serious about buying, you can sample for free the different varieties of sake, shochu and liqueurs before you buy.
