Is there such a thing as too much neon? Shinsekai would say no, never! The tower you see in the middle there is the Tsutenkaku, which affectionately has the name of “the Eiffel Tower of Osaka”. It was originally built in 1912 with inspiration from the Parisian icon, but was badly damaged by a fire in 1943, then rebuilt in the 1950’s. A little fun fact for all of you: the same architect who designed the Tsutenkaku also designed Tokyo Tower! 🗼
