Deep in the Japanese cedar forest, solemnly stands the dark red “Romon (two-story gate)” of Oiwa Shrine. From the hall of worship, there is a two-way path to the inner #shrine that stretches to Mt. Oiwa. The oldest sacred mountain in Ibaraki Prefecture is now very popular as a hiking and rock climbing destination.
