Sometimes things don’t go the way we plan it, but that becomes an opportunity to find joy in life’s surprises.

Miyajima features one of the most celebrated scenic views in Japan. Easily accessible from Hiroshima City, it is the home of the Itsukushima Shrine and its iconic floating vermilion torii gate. You might have already seen a picture of it – a massive torii standing majestically in the sea, both stately and dreamlike. The Shinto shrine being the main attraction of the island, Miyajima is never a wasted visit with all its offerings to day visitors.
