The Tokyo Skytree is one of Tokyo’s most popular sightseeing landmarks. At exactly 634 meters tall, it is the tallest among the stand-alone broadcasting towers in the world and the second tallest man-made structure at the time of its completion in 2012. I have been to several of Japan’s tallest buildings – from the Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Metropolitan Building, to the Abeno Harukas in Osaka – but the spectacular panoramic views from both observation decks of the Tokyo Skytree remain as one of best sights I have seen in my travels. It is for this reason this video was created so I can share my experience with you.
If you visit Japan at some point and have never had Gyukatsu before – go and try it! Gyukatsu is a beef version of the fried breaded pork cutlet known as tonkatsu which is more readily available in Japanese eateries internationally. I have never heard of gyukatsu prior to this trip and only discovered it out of curiosity while passing by a restaurant that frequently had a long line of customers near my accommodation in Asakusa. Apart from being a unique food experience, it was one of the most incredibly delicious meals I’ve had in Tokyo as well!
