Locomotive No. 213.902 “Béeska” has run round its train ready for a run to Prague-Smichov via the scenic Prokop Valley. The quarry is connected to the national network via a freight only line to the exchanges sidings at Nučice, where our locomotive runs round its train to take the short spur up to the national network where our diminutive 0-4-0 tank engine shows it is no slouch on the mainline, reaching very respectable speeds for a little shunting engine.
The locomotive crew kindly allowed me to attach a camera to the front of their engine so that we can all enjoy the view normally reserved for the driver/engineer and fireman.
Please find links after the credits at the end of this video to see some excellent videos by local filmmakers BlanCamCZ and Dominik Schön showing both this train and some of the other fascinating rail activity in and around Prague.
