Day 8 – Arrival at Sapporo (night time)
Take JR Super Hakuto train from Hakodate Station to Sapporo Station 🚆After arriving, take our luggage from coin-operated locker (**because we are storing our luggage for more than 3 days (max up to 3 days), so we have to inform staff our locker number and how many days we want to store. Then he will record in his book and staff in charge will not take out your luggage from locker**). Check-in hotel at Hokke Club Sapporo, then out for dinner at Ramen Yokocho.
Day 9 – Strolling around Sapporo
Morning we are going to Kaisen Shokudo Kitano Gourmet Tei/ Sapporo Curb Market/ Sapporo Central Wholesales Market 札幌場外市場 for breakfast. Our original plan is to have breakfast at 大船鮨 (for sushi) or sushi-dokoro kita-no-shun (a hidden in a narrow pathway for sashimi rice bowl). But we are so craving for king crab, so we change our plan. Ok, we just simply pick a restaurant, Takahashi/ 海鮮食堂/ 北のグルメ亭 and order king crab leg. Hmmm, my personal opinion: I would prefer Hakodate king crab than Sapporo as the king crab legs we ate yesterday (at Hakodate Morning Market) are sweet and delicious compared to here. But the scallop taste better here. AND don’t think that it is just a crab but we 2 are SO FULL after finish 4 legs!! After breakfast, we are walking around the market and I think it is quite a good place to buy souvenir & biscuit (but here the biscuits expired dated is closer compared to Sapporo Station). And of course, you can try melon here, they taste so so so great. Don’t forget to try grape as well, although it is much expensive, but trust me, they taste great.
Taking subway and get off at Maruyama-Koen Station, then walk to Maruyama Park 円山公園, and follow sign to Hokkaido-jingu Shrine (北海道神宮). After visiting the shrine, we are back to Odori Park for shopping. Then, taking local tram/ streetcar line to Ropeway Iriguchi Station, transfer to free shuttle bus to the lower ropeway station, and cable car to the top of Mt Moiwa. Dinner at aburi-chaya (炙り茶屋), Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade (狸小路商业街).
Day 10 – Last Day in Sapporo
It’s our last day and we don’t have any plan for the day.
Sapporo Station for breakfast (PAUL Sapporo Stellar Place) → Hokkaido University → Rokkatei Sapporo Main Store (六花亭 札幌本店) → Sapporo Station → Chitose → check in hotel at Hotel Wing International Chitose (千岁永安国际酒店)
If you have time, I would suggest to go Nakajima Park. You may have chance to see wild fox during night time.
