In this video I ride the Moonlight Nagara which used to be called the moving slum in the past. Today it is definitely not a slum anymore, although it wasn’t an easy ride to complete at all. I believe this is the most efficient way to travel between Japan’s two biggest cities in terms of budget. Again, the required tickets to ride this are, the Seishun18 (¥2410/day), and the seat reservation (¥530). Also, you get to sleep onboard so you don’t need to book a hotel this night. Make sure you’ve made up your mind if you’re consider riding the Moonlight Nagara.
