Chichi-sugi Japanese Cedar 乳房杉

Chichi-sugi is an 800-year-old-Japanese cedar tree located deep in the forest of the tallest mountain in the Oki Islands, Mt. Daimanji. Perhaps the only one of its kind in all of Japan, this strangely-shaped tree is the shrine of a maternal deity.
乳房杉は隠岐最高峰の大満寺山の霧深い山腹に立つ、推定樹齢800年の奇妙で巨大な杉の木です。
日本でここだけかもしれない、垂れ下がる枝を持つこの木は、神社としても祀られています。
