The overnight bus was a success. For Amy it was a good night sleep, not as much for Yevhen but we both agree that it was totally worth it. Overnight transportation is such a money saver. Whatever the cost of your ticket now includes that’s night accommodations and transportation to a new place. Yes, this money saving is at the expense of a kinked neck and definitely a much needed shower and a sleepy day but for twenty dollars a person we went from Tokyo to Osaka and didn’t have to pay for a bed that night! Most videos you’ll find on YouTube say to take the bullet train and get to see Mount Fuji out the window. While the bullet train would be a fun experience in and of itself we chose to have two days exploring all around Mount Fuji and then do the overnight bus which all together cost less then the bullet train and we got to really SEE Mount Fuji!
Our first thoughts about Osaka are a resounding YUM! From amazing coffee to yummy mochi 🍡, to delicious yakisoba and okinominyaki. Our first day in Osaka with our new friends didn’t disappoint!
