Comedian Suzuki Q-Taro (born in Minamiuonuma) stopped by his hometown and joined us for a little friendly competition and interview about the city!

Before moving to Tokyo and becoming a comedian with the Yoshimoto Entertainment group as part of comedy duo Hiking Walking, Suzuki Q-Taro was born and raised in Minamiuonuma. Since moving away from home a lot has changed in the area with new businesses and tourist attractions popping up all over the city in the past 20 years. To hear some of his thoughts on the Snow Country and get some insider tips on the best places for travel in the city we were lucky to set up a short interview when he was back visiting recently. As an added layer of fun, we also had a competition based on one of Q-Taro’s skits where he chugs a cola and proceeds to list all the stops on Tokyo’s famous Yamanote subway line.
