Akurala Beach | Sri Lanka

kurala is situated at the south coast of Sri Lanka, about 90 km from the capital of Colombo towards Galle. The village of Akurala boasts itself about scenic beach and it was popular only among the locals as the world famous Hikkaduwa beach is just 10 minutes away from it but in recent times, tourists and foreigners don’t mind spending some relaxing time in there watching the sunset and a little bath on their way to Hikkaduwa and Galle.
Akurala is a safe beach to relax or have a nice sea bath as long as you stay inside the great coral reef which acts as a barrier and once you go beyond that it can be extremely dangerous. So make sure to stay in that region and as always, keep the place clean and tidy while you enjoy..
