Qooco hosted the 7th annual Qooco Asia Spelling Cup on November 16, 2019 in Fukuoka, Japan. The Qooco Asia Spelling Cup is the largest Spelling Bee in Asia involving students from China, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam and Malaysia.
Our students were able to compete and be accepted as part of the 50 finalist to showcase their English Spelling Skills at the finals. My co-mentor Teacher Cielo and I were also given the chance to explore the beauty of Fukuoka City which sits on the northern shore of Japan’s Kyushu Island. It’s known for ancient temples, beaches, and modern shopping malls including the canal city.
