This is our FINAL episode in this season!
We drive 300+ miles from Bettyhill in Sutherland on Scotland’s wild North Atlantic coast to Edinburgh, our final destination on our final day in Scotland.
Setting out from Bettyhill at around 10:30AM, Apple maps indicates a 7.5-hour drive, which should be plenty of time to get to Edinburgh by 8:00PM.
We’re surprised and amazed by the spectacular scenery through Glen Loth, about an hour from Bettyhill. This is a highly recommended route if you are ever in the area!
The road through Glen Loth meets the A9 road at Helmsdale, and since we have so much distance to cover drive non-stop through Inverness to Aviemore where we stop for lunch.
Leaving Aviemore, I screw up and press the wrong button on our trusty GoPro, meaning there is no video footage between Aviemore and Edinburgh.
We eventually reach Edinburgh at about 8:00PM, leaving us just enough time for a delicious Indian meal and then check out Edinburgh Castle (from the outside!)
To those who have stuck with us through this entire sequence of 15 episodes, thank you very much! And to new viewers, thanks for checking us out!
Look out for our mini-series, Campervan in Japan, covering our 3-day excursion around the Tokyo/Yokohama/Mt Fuji area – coming up soon!!!
