This is the Maeklong Railway Market in Thailand, arguably the most fascinating train in the world. Sometimes spelled “Mae Klong” or “Meklong”, it’s all the same small town. Believe it or not, the Maeklong Railway runs right through the middle of a busy market multiple times per day!
As it passes, all the stallholders move out of the way, remove their awnings and move their product so that the train can pass, and then carry on as if nothing has happened.
If you’re making a trip to Bangkok, Thailand, this fun railway market is well worth a visit.
