Hey guys! I visited Japan earlier this year and had the chance to check out Okinawa’s Makishi Public Market located in the heart of Naha. Offering other foods apart from seafood, Japanese seafood is definitely the biggest attraction about this place, as you can try local Okinawa delicacies that aren’t usually found in other parts of Japan.

With the fish market located off the Main Street in Naha, Okinawa, here we tried a variety of sashimi dishes, and it was my first time trying out lobster sashimi, but we also tried out other dishes like Okinawa sea snail, sea urchin as well too.

What’s more, if you want to try your dishes in a cooked format (and not just sashimi style), you can have it cooked for you too!

The place is bustling with lots of people all the time and it’s a great way to have amazing and really fresh Japanese seafood for a decently reasonable price.

The way we navigated this fish market definitely was different to say Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo, Japan; where you’d have lots of little stalls you could purchase from, but the variety of seafood was definitely great, and staff were very kind and helpful.
