Incredible Japanese Water Village – Japan by Bike: We meet up With Tim & Hakan, two old buddies cycling, camping and enjoying Japan. We take a closed route together and are in for spectacular scenery and some very bad roads. Lake Biwa is just around the corner and Tim asks us if we would like to join and visit Harie: “The Village of Living Water”, where giant carp help with the dishes and special springwater takes 200 years to filter down from the nearby mountains. We learn all the ins and outs and leave with a profound insight how people still live close to nature in the modern world.

To see, feel, smell, hear and taste everything the road has to offer will be so much different than watching a documentary or reading a book about it. Sometimes it will be difficult and most of the time fantastic. We hope you will find inspiration in our video’s and maybe fuel your dreams as so many other have done for us.
