Is it safe to visit Japan during the coronavirus outbreak? If you have a vacation scheduled and don’t want it cancelled, proceed at your own risk. But if possible, don’t bring the elderlies and children as they are the most vulnerable. I’m uploading this video to give people an idea of what it’s like to visit there right now–some areas are still a bit crowded, contrary to our initial expectations.
We travelled to Japan on March 5 (more specifically in Osaka, and the neighboring Kansai areas), when the number of confirmed COVID19 cases in Osaka was only 18. Now 11 days later, it has blown up to a whopping 106 cases.
We knew the consequence of travelling and so we went there equipped with the following:
– daily maximum dose of vitamin C
– N95 face mask
– sanitizer
– plenty of sleep and rest
– medical insurance, just in case
Now when we got home, we did the responsible thing by undergoing self-quarantine in order to protect people from us, if we ever contracted the virus (not that we have much choice since Manila is currently on a lockdown). A week later, thank God we’re still doing fine, and hopefully it stays that way, fingers crossed.
Keep safe everyone.
P.S. People shown in this video have consented to it, on the condition that i blur them out (I can’t pay their talent fee lol jk)
P.P.S. No deers were harmed during the filming of this video
