The day after the Kobe Bryant Helicopter crash, Dan (@SFilmsTakingoff) and Ruperto “Alex” Prado (@MexicanRupert) need to head out for a video shoot, taking off through the fog. If it was a pleasure flight, they would wait for the fog to lift. But this take off is within the rules, and as much risk mitigation that can be done, is done.
The Zero takeoff (zero visibility), or sometimes the “zero/zero” (visibility and ceiling), is certainly not for everyone. If you’re not comfortable, or confident in your plane, then it might not be for you. If I can wait, I certainly will.
