[4K ULTRA HD]白石川堤一目千本桜は、宮城県柴田郡大河原町から船岡を流れる白石川の両岸8キロに続く東北地方屈指の桜名所です。約1200本のソメイヨシノが連なる風景が美しく、船岡城址公園と共に宮城県内唯一の日本桜名所百選にも選ばれています。桜が満開となり見頃を迎え始める時期には「おおがわら桜まつり」も開催し、ボンボリや照明によるライトアップも行われ、露店の賑わいと共に昼間とは違った幻想的な夜桜も観賞する事ができます。
2020年は白石川堤一目千本桜、船岡城址公園で行われる予定だった桜まつりは新型肺炎の影響で中止が決定し、観光客に人気のお花見屋形船や出店、夜桜のライトアップが中止となりました。
2020年は3月31日ごろに桜の開花が始まる見込みとなっているようです。
来年は何事もなく無事に桜まつりが開催される事を祈るばかりです。

Shiroishi River Hitome Senbonzakura is one of the most famous cherry blossom spots in the Tohoku region, extending 8 km from both sides of the Shiraishi River flowing from Ogawara-machi, Shibata-gun, Miyagi Prefecture Tohoku Japan.
The scenery of about 1200 Yoshino cherry trees is beautiful, and along with Funaoka Castle Park, it has been selected as one of Miyagi Prefecture’s only 100 best cherry blossom spots in Japan.
At the time when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the Ogawara Sakura Festival is also held, and the lights are illuminated by bomboli and lighting.
At this event, you can also watch the fantastic night cherry blossoms that are different from the daytime, along with the bustle of the stalls.
The Cherry Blossom Festival, which was scheduled to be held at Shiroishi River Hitome Senbonzakura and Funaoka Castle Park in 2020, has been canceled due to the effects of new pneumonia.
The cherry blossom viewing boats, stores, and night cherry blossoms that are popular with tourists have been canceled.
