Hey guys! In our previous video we were in Takayama. Now join us as we explore one of the most beautiful places in Japan, Shirakawa-go. Shirakawa-go (白川郷) is known for its traditional Japanese farmhouses (gassho) – also known as the praying hand houses for its A-frame shape in a valley surrounded by mountains.

We visited during winter and we were lucky as it was snowing during our visit! The whole place is Instagram-worthy so make sure to take lots of photos when you go here!

Unfortunately, we were not able to visit the Shirakawa Observatory because we only had limited time. The observatory would have offered us a sweeping panoramic views of the incredible architecture and mountains from a high vantage point, and this was the place for the famous post card photo. So maybe next time!
