Hey y’all! Its Melinda and Tracey and we make up the Gallivanting Gals. We are always planning our next trip and before we even get there we are working on the next and the next, you get the idea! Who we really are: After years of working the 40-hour work weeks or mostly 60-hour weeks, we decided to follow our dream & start our travels. We started our journey from Nashville, TN. Which is Melinda’s hometown and Tracey’s adopted hometown. No, we didn’t sell everything and leave home, but we did sell our business of 14 years and start planning. To be more personal, we also saw people young and old that were very dear to us pass away and we realized that life is too short, and you never know what tomorrow will bring. Though that may sound a little cliché, that’s truly what gave us a swift kick in the butt to start doing all the things we love.
Now we travel about 6 months a year and love every minute of it. As Gen Xer’s we found that there weren’t a lot of channels that focused on our style of travel. We don’t carry everything in a backpack, and we usually don’t stay in hostels. We give a firsthand view of the beautiful places we visit as well as any tips & tricks we have picked up along the way. We try to share as much as we can about the popular tourist sites because those are what drives most people to travel to certain places. We also love to discover hidden corners and less touristy places along the way.
