And if you come at 10am at the Wa Rasse Museum Aomori, they have a workshop to teach you how the gorgeous paper statues are made! Actually the most difficult is the design of the wire base. each partition has it’s own paper patch, and at the beginning the figures are all paper-white. Making one such float takes 2 year!! And every year new floats are made and paraded! I thought that adding the paper patch was quite easy and enjoyable!!
The museum dedicated to the Nebuta Festival, Nebuta Museum Wa Rasse (ねぶたの家 ワ・ラッセ), opened in 2011, providing an experience of the festival all year round for those who cannot come to the festival in August. in 2020 the Aomori Nebuta Festival will be held from AUGUST 2nd to 7th! a stunning MUST SEE!!
