We took a day trip from calm, peaceful Kyoto to the bustling, hectic, flashy city of Osaka. It was quite a shock to experience such a change after just a 30 minute train ride. We started our day with a bit of a history lesson at Osaka Castle before getting lunch at the massive Kuromon Market. At the market, we stuffed ourselves with all manner of local street foods including Japanese beef, Takoyaki, and more. From there we explored several neighborhoods starting with over-the-top Dotonbori where we were dazzled by the lights, sounds, colors, and smells. It was an experience we won’t soon forget. Watch the video to see our final verdict on our day in Osaka.
