[Tokyo-Osaka-Hokkaido Trip Finale] The Best Way to Enjoy Hokkaido: Shrines, Snow, and Sapporo Beer🍺

The top 2 destinations in Sapporo – not quite the Sapporo Snow Festival, and over a month on, but here’s the final installment of our New Year trip from Tokyo to Osaka and finally to Sapporo in Hokkaido!

After a sprint to make the Sapporo New Year’s countdown, we spent the last day of our New Year trip enjoying some old and new traditions.

First we visited Hokkaido Shrine for hatsumode (the first shrine visit of the year) to pray for a good new year and to pull omikuji (fortune papers) before heading off to eat some jingisukan (lamb BBQ) and sampling some of Japan’s finest beers at the Sapporo Beer Museum🍻
