A walk along the Philosopher's Path canal in Kyoto, Japan

Not far from Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion) is the Philosopher’s Path, a pleasant pathway along a canal through the Higashiyama district. In the fall, the colors are stunning. In April, the area is popular for the cherry blossoms. The path is about two kilometers (1.24 miles) long.
