Hakata, the capital city aka ward of Fukuoka, is a seaside city, located at the eastern edge of Japan. For this time around, you will see me talk a lot in this video and I hope you won’t be annoyed, ahaha… Anyway, follow me as I went to visit 3 unique landmarks of Hakata.
The first place is Tenjin Chikagai or also known as Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall. It is said to be one of the most beautiful underground shopping street in the entire of Japan. Decorated with Victorian age flagstone floors and arabesque design ceilings, you won’t feel anything resemblance of being under the ground level.
Next place is Ohori Park. If you want to picnic while admiring the sakura trees, this is the perfect place in Hakata for hanami.
Lastly is Fukuoka Castle Ruins, which located within the vicinity of Maizuru Park. Nothing much here except the remnants of what once the majestic Fukuoka Castle.
