`Cleaning ` is a task which most of us tend to dread. Then there’s the end of the year big clean out, where we have to deal with the 365days worth of mess, and tackle the paper and junk we accumulated throughout the year.

In Japan, they have made this big end of the year clean out into an event. The ‘Osusuharai’ is an annual tradition where people have a big clean, to welcome in luck and prosperity for the coming year. In Nishi Hongan-ji, around 500 masked people attended the ‘Osusuharai’ event.
