So this is our journey of climbing Mount Fuji in Japan in a typhoon on the 9th of September 2019. We had lots of warnings not to climb but we decided to do it any way. It was the best decision we made as although we missed the sunrise we still managed to see an amazing view. The hut cost between 8,000Yen – 11,000Yen depending on season and date this included an evening meal and a breakfast.

We met some really good people on this journey and we really enjoyed it we highly recommend doing this it is so rewarding. We personally do not feel that you need to pay for a guide their is a clear route to the top and it is difficult to get lost. We think you need to be a moderate fitness level is is achievable for most people as long as you take small breaks however the last 30minutes of climbing it pretty steep and quite tough on the knees.

We hope you enjoy this video and If you have any other questions, please feel free to drop us a message in the comment section and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Travel safe and speak soon 🙂
