This year my daughter and I took a trip for 10 days to Japan. It was a non-stop, culture and tummy filled adventure with caffeine kicks in between kind of trip. It was tiring but fun as hell.
HERE’S DAY 1 OF OUR ADVENTURE!
We were on a morning flight to Japan and we couldn’t be more excited. Although very tired from the trip, we still managed to look for this Katsu restaurant we originally intended to have lunch at upon arrival. Good thing we found it after 30 minutes or so going up and down the escalator and elevator in Kyoto station with our luggage in tow even. It was tiring but worth it as our lunch was superb.
Our apartment in Kyoto is fairly new. Although a bit far from Kyoto Station (around 2 kms), it’s clean and basic amenities are provided. The nearest subway station is 700 meters away but bus stations are quite accessible. But we don’t generally ride the bus during trips as it’s slow and makes brief stops frequently. And with limited time in Japan, we can’t afford to waste precious time aboard the bus.
Anyway, since we were so tired from our flight, we decided to just buy dinner from a nearby Lawson convenience store and call it a night. We highly recommend Lawson’s soba and onigiri. So delicious. Even my daughter who’s a picky eater loved them.
