All I know about this particular restaurant/seafood place is it was on the way (or around Abashiri) and every tourist bus in Hokkaido stops here. It would have been more interesting for Steve and myself to choose the seafood for lunch and have it prepared rather than the boiler-plate hot pot ordered for the group.

That was probably too much trouble for our guide since he would have to actually “guide” by translating what each seafood was and the best way to prepare. Guide “Don” tried, but was not the best of the best…
