Travel Vlog: Exploring Okinawa World theme park continued. We reach the end of the park and check out the Okinawa Culture Center which houses multiple Shisa statue artifacts.
Shisa are similar to the Chinese Guardian Lions and are described as being half lion and half dog. They typically guard the entrance to buildings, homes, businesses, etc.
It was really cool seeing all the different types of Shisa since we see them all over the island. The Shisa is unique to Okinawan culture (not part of mainland Japan culture). 🤓
In the second half of this video, watch me get a “doctor fish” pedicure from some Garra Rufa fish who eat dead and diseased skin. I’m crazy ticklish, so this was super uncomfortable and even more awkward as groups of tourists walk by while I mentally breakdown…. but my feet are super soft now so totally worth it! 😅
Hope you guys enjoy this video as much as we enjoyed visiting this awesome park! 🖤🌺
